A project for Burma — and the World

The future is already here — it’s just not evenly distributed. — William Gibson

ArtForBurma is a Blockchain-based project involving numerous Artists around the World, aimed to fund the CRPH — Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in Burma (Myanmar) and afterwards to support the development of a free and peaceful country.

The project has been founded by web/blockchain professionals that care of the current situation in Burma with the intention to channel the potentiality of the Blockchain technology to help sensible artists, photographers, musicians and art galleries to sell their masterpieces and at the same time fund the suffering people in Burma.

Since the coup of February 1, 2021, Burma has plunged into a state of dictatorship and very harsh military repression, which forces people to leave their homes, to hide to avoid indisciminate arrests and torture. Episodes of summary justice against unarmed citizens are also on the agenda.
For this reason, a civil disobedience movement was born in Burma during the month of February, which ArtForBurma intend to support.

We are firmly convinced that Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs) are the future of the art market. The NFTs are digital object created in the Blockchain space, having the following characteristics:

  • unicity (or rarity)
  • untampered ness
  • anonimity (optional)

Basically an object created as NFT can not be falsified or can not change hands without approval of the -real- owner because every transaction in the Blockchain is written in a distributed Ledger that can not be tampered: it is like an auction House without the House :)

Said that many artists don’t now how to exploit this powerful market tool: our goal is to introduce them to the Blockchain movement and provide tools to expand their potential markets.
